My mom (aka-Mama S) and Jessica came to visit us a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, as newly weds, we weren't as completely prepared for visitors as we thought. We had to borrow Susan and Aub's queen air-mattress for Jess and Mama S to share. I wish I had a picture of the first morning I woke them up. It was hilarious to see them on that thing.
We also have a love seat as our couch. Which only sits 2 comfortably, but we somehow made it all work :)
My parents both went to Texas Tech and they actually met here in Lubbock. My mom lived just a couple blocks down the road from where we are living now, so we visited her old stomping grounds. It was so fun to watch her go down "Memory Lane". She hadn't been back to Lubbock in over 25 years, so things looked a lot different. But once we got near her old casa, things started to look more familiar and the memories came flooding back. Below is a picture of one of her favorite places to eat with her friends- Taco Villa.
" It's the only place you can order a taco and get fries with it!"
While they were here, my mom bought us an awesome decoration for above our TV. I took this picture with the blinds partially opened and without any lights on... so it's not the best. I'll have to take a better one and post it with pictures of the chairs. My mom and Jess repainted and recovered the cushions on our dining room chairs. They look awesome! And the flower really ties in everything else in the front of the house.
I'm so grateful for awesome parents and family members that care about us so much and love us soooo much! Thanks Mom and Jess (and Dad- for buying it(; ) We love our new place and are so grateful for all of the help and love that our family and friends have shown us. We are so blessed. Thank you everyone :)
