Summer Update

So far this summer we've made a few Kerrville trips, a San Antonio trip, a Del Rio trip, a Concan trip and an Arlington trip. My side of the family had planned a weekend where we all get together in Arlington and go to a Rangers' game. Unfortunately, Travis wasn't able to make it because he had a job in Del Rio at the same time. He found out last minute so it was too late to change the date/plans. We still had fun but we really missed him!

We went to Kerrville in June for Grayson and Sam's open house! We didn't get any pictures :( but it sure was fun spending time with them and getting to know them a little more . We miss them and wish they lived in Lubbock! (We'd be happy if they at least lived in Texas... I guess they're working on that:))

Anyway, the next day (saturday) we drove to Concan, TX for a wedding reception. The groom is the son of Travis' dad's good childhood friend. The scenery was beautiful, but they didn't make the greatest accommodations for their guests in the 100+ degree weather. It was sooooo hot and we were in a tent where the back was closed in so we never felt a breeze. The had an open bar, but it only served water and alcoholic beverages. At least we had the water :)




They told Susan- who was their photographer- that they would have fans. We quickly found out that meant hand-held fans, similar to the one in the picture. :/ it did NOT help. But aside from being sweaty and hot the entire time, we still managed to have fun!
