Wesley's First January

I know it's been a while since I updated the old blog, so here we go! We've enjoyed a fairly busy January in the Casita de Moore. These pictures are in no particular order but I'll share a little about each of them.

Wesley and I get to play a lot each day. I'm privileged and blessed to be able to work from home. I work while Wesley naps so during his wake time, we get to PLAY!
We were unable to spend Allie's birthday with her, so we tried our best to celebrate the special day in Lubbock.

We put Wesley down for his evening nap. I heard him "talking" about halfway through his nap so I decided to go in and check on him. This is what I found. :) He was talking and looking at the door through the slats on his crib. Such a funny creeper!
Wesley really enjoys his bath time. He just quietly lays there in the water as we clean him up. He is so relaxed during it. He treats it as spa time.
He definitely is our child :)
We like to joke that Wesley is a vampire. Because I work all day and Travis is gone all day, it's hard for us to find time to go outdoors. And because Lubbock is a dust bowl. So when Wesley does see sunlight or feel the wind on his face, he doesn't really enjoy it. The picture below is of us walking to our mailbox. To my right (your left) is our apartment and the building behind the tree is where our mailbox is. He fussed the entire trip :) He did better than he normally would though because I remembered to protect his head/ears from the wind. Notice the red eyes? He is so sensitive. Soooo adorable!
Wesley learned to play with his feet this month. He likes to kick the hanging things and then the motion-controlled music plays a song for him.
Wesley loves his pacifier when he is sleepy/sleeping. He HAS to go to sleep with one. He now HAS to fall asleep with his hand on top of it and on his nose, just like the picture below. Silly boy!
Wesley does REALLY well at church. He's learned to take naps on the pews. Isn't he just adorable?!
Since pregnancy, I've shed a LOT of hair. I mean, no joke, probably a wig's worth of hair. Which tells you how much hair I have ;) Anyway, Wesley always manages to have my hair in his fingers, toes, hands, and in this case, his mouth. If you look closely, you can see the evidence below.
Remember how I told you Wesley has learned to play with his feet? Well, with his exceptionally long toes and newly acquired skills, he manages to do this quite often to me...
Just chillin with my friend Mr. Musical Lion!
Action shot as he was really excited and vocal. Somewhat scary looking. But still adorable.
Our Little Bear :))) When it's really cold out and we need to check the mail or see daylight for the first time in a week, I'll put him in his fleece bear suit. The hand mittens fold down as an option so he always manages to stick a thumb out the slit. If you look closely at his left hand, you can see his cute thumb :)
Like most people and babies, when he's hungry he wants it NOW!
Bina, aka Mama S aka my mom, sent Wesley a new toy! Her manufactured name is Sophie but we call her Jaff the Giraffe. Wesley has acquired a couple of giraffe things and he seems to love them.
I think he just might love her.
