The weekend before the Bludorns visited us, I had the pleasure of seeing my good friend Joleen. It been since mid-December since we'd seen each other and it was wonderful catching up. She took me to a wonderful concert in Austin to see Tyrone Wells. Google him! He was great, the atmosphere was fun and we had a ball exploring one block of 6th Street. (No one mentioned to me how out of place two Mormon girls are on 6th Street...) We still enjoyed it though- it was like an adventure!
On the way to and from the concert, we caught up with some good chitchat. Oh how I was reminded how wonderful Joleen is. I'm so grateful Heavenly Father blessed my life with her friendship. She was truly a great part of our life in Lubbock and I'll always carry that friendship close to me (even if we go several months without seeing each other).
