Russellsprout

He's a year old! Holy moly. I was so excited when Wesley turned 1. I was counting down the days, ready to celebrate and so excited for him to reach that milestone.

I cried on Russell's birthday. Several times.

Having two kids makes it hard for you to focus on the second's milestones as much as you did with the first. I knew things would be different, but I didn't realize how much I would be missing until a year flew by, my baby became a toddler and I found myself crying for the days passed to return.

Russell is adorable. He is so funny, crazy and fearless. This kid loves LOVES his big brother. He loves to taunt him, play with him, tickle him, etc. He loves mom and dad. But really REALLY loves dad.

Russell is so sweet and curious. He has 10 teeth (pretty sure Wesley had 2-4 at this age) and he eats everything in sight. Seriously. Paper on the floor, it's going in the mouth. Unknown specimen ground into the carpet, he's going after it.

We love this guy. Wesley refers to him as "my baby brother." And frequently tells us that Russell is cute, funny and small.

Russell loves to sit with you, cuddle, give the yummiest kisses and smile all day long. He is so happy. He is so content (unless he's hungry, which is actually pretty often...)

Needless to say, we're extremely blessed to have these two boys. They are everything to us. I struggle to express in words my feelings about being a mom, but if you're interested you can check out my other blog for more thoughts on that.

Love you Russell-baby. Love you love you love you.
