On Wednesday, we went to a BBQ to celebrate David's birthday. David and Emily Grover are in our ward and we've played games with them a couple times and had them over for dinner. Emily served her mission in Tokyo so she and Travis have a good time reminiscing about things from the mish.
Emily also happens to be pregnant and she is due 2 days after me! It's their first kid too so it's been fun going through the whole thing at the same time.
Like most good birthday parties, they had a pinata!
The lovely lady sitting next to Travis is Melissa. She and her husband are good friends with the Grovers. Her husband also served in Japan. After talking with them for a couple minutes, we learned that they lived in Japan for a year teaching English. Travis and I got very excited about the possibility of us doing that one day. So we spent a good part of the evening asking them thousands of questions and getting all the information we could. We'll see if the Lord takes us there...
