Wesley is 1/2 a Year OLD!

April was a fun month! We went to Jimmy's wedding, which was in Lubbock :)! My mom came into town towards the end of the month and we had a little party with some of our baby friends. During this month Wesley mastered sitting, turned 6 months old, and started to crawl. He's growing so fast! Some days I'll be rummaging through things in his closet, looking for a new outfit or something, and I'll come across his newborn clothes. It makes me so sad to think how big he's gotten in just 6 months! I miss my little newborn. Not so much the 8 weeks of sleepless nights, but I do miss all of the cuddles that came with those 3a.m. visits with one another. Nowadays Wesley can barely stand me cradling him in my arms for more than 2 seconds. He kicks and squirms and moans until I put him back on my hip. He's becoming a big boy now, I guess in his mind, but he's still my little bear. Anyway...

Back to telling y'all about the party we had. I decided last minute- as in I planned the party on Thursday and we had it Saturday- that we would have a little get together for Wesley's half birthday. We invited some of our baby friends and their rents. My mom made a cake and rice krispy s'mores- thank you Pinterest. We also had sodas, chex mix and a few baby snacks for the wee ones. (This was Wesley's party, afterall.) We turned on the new Elmo music DVD my mom got Wesley and let the kids roll around on the floor while the adults ate all of the goodies. Wesley is kind of a screamer, talker, etc. And he's loud about all of it too. So when our little baby friend, Aiden, started to play with him on the floor and Wesley yelled in his face, poor Aiden broke down. Literally. It was so sad, but so cute! He is such an adorable little guy. Poor little dude kept getting his feelings hurt every time Wesley got all up in his grill. We'll be working on that and on building a friendship between the two ;)

Sleeping with his Easter gift- his first BEAR!

One afternoon we spent a good amount of time in my bed watching Elmo on YouTube. He's now in love :)

This is how I found him one morning :) Love him to pieces!

Since he began crawling, I've found him trying to get into my purse at least 4 times. Little stinker! I really need to start putting my purse on the table...

He loves babies. Water babies (as seen above), babies on boxes, and of course real babies.

Easter Sunday :)

First time eating carrots. Hated. Every. Minute. Oh and he refused to swallow AND he used his bib to wipe them off of his tongue.

He LOVES his Bina. This was at his little party. His eyes are fixed on Elmo. Notice he's not in his ugly outfit. He couldn't stand it for longer than 5 minutes. I missed my opportunity to get a picture of him in it as well. Shucky darn darn.

The party's theme was "What Not to Wear: Baby Edition." All of the babies were supposed to come in their ugliest outfits. Travis and Aubry decided the dress code applied to them as well :) I love my family!

Little dude loves watching Elmo. Notice the awesome quilt he's laying on? My amazing Aunt Tricia made it for him! He LOVES playing on it.

This was at Jimmy and Zabe's wedding. Jimmy is Travis' best friend. Long story short, Jimmy met Zabe (who is from Amarillo) at school at BYU-Idaho and they got married in Lubbock at the beginning of the month. Wesley was Jimmy's "Best Baby"
