Warning: No Pictures, Just Information!

Here's just a little update on what we've been up to, what we plan on being up to in the near/distant future, etc. Also, I've been super lame lately and haven't taken a lot/any pictures in the last few weeks. My mom has pictures from Thanksgiving. Maybe she'll be kind enough to send them to me. Anyway...

Past few weeks: We've been busy with visitors, church callings, school, work and some traveling. My mom and sisters came up for Wesley's first birthday. Did I already blog about that? Pretty sure I did.....? Shortly after that we made a quick trip to Kville so Travis could vote for President Romney. (I don't usually post political stuff- I leave that job for Travis but here are my two cents: I know Romney didn't get elected. That doesn't mean he shouldn't have, nor does it mean I shouldn't think of him as a potentially amazing president. My personal opinion: America missed out. The end.) A few weeks after that quick weekend Jessica moved to Lubbock. My dad came with her to help with the move. It was a short visit with him but we still had fun. It was only the second time my dad had been to Lubbock since we moved here so it was fun to hit the town with him and for him to meet some of our friends. 3 days after he left we went down to SA for Thanksgiving with my side of the fam. It was a lot of fun. We really REALLY enjoyed the time we spent there. Amazing food, fun nights of card games, more really good food... Wesley had a blast. He played SOOOO hard the entire time. We loved our Thanksgiving break.

Now we're back in Lubbock working on finishing out our time here. We have about 3 weeks left until we move to SA. Travis graduates the 14th and then we'll be moving sometime in the days that follow. We're really excited for this next chapter in our life. There are still a lot of unknowns but we feel very confident that it's all in the Lord's hands. We're taking it one faithful step at a time.

With the excitement comes a lot of sadness though. I've said it before and I'll say it again, we're really comfortable with our life here in L. Amazing friendships have been made. We have an awesome ward and really great callings. We've grown to appreciate our little apartment and the blessing it has been to us these last 2 years. We love living close to Aubry and his kids. It's been a rough year for them and we've appreciated the opportunity to be here and see firsthand the Lord work so miraculously in their lives. Wesley loves his uncle Aubry so much. It'll be hard having them so far away. We'll also miss our beautiful South Plains. I know that sounds ironic but there really is a beauty to life out here. I know I'll miss it.
