Unwanted

I knew this day would come. I just thought it would be a couple more years down the road. But here we are, Wesley doesn't want me. Ok that's a little dramatic. He doesn't want me...at least at meal times. Sure he wants me to provide the food on his tray but when it comes to feeding him he wants nothing to do with me.

This morning I had planned out in my head how the perfect morning would go. I wanted to get up, do my morning scripture study and prayer, and get ready for the day all before 8am. Well that didn't exactly happen. You see it's 10am and I'm still not completely ready. By 8:45 I was ready to get Wesley up for breakfast. He threw his bottle at me and then pushed me away every time I came up with a bite of fruity oatmeal. I was so frustrated. I called for Travis' help, thinking there wasn't really anything else he could do but sympathize with me. He took the oatmeal from me and BAM!

Wesley ate every last bite.

I wish I was kidding but nope. He was perfectly happy to eat his breakfast as long as it came from dad and not me.

Travis later told me he thinks he was pooping while I was trying to feed him. I mean who wants to eat during that? If this was the first time he'd swatted my hand away, I would believe it. But it's about the billionth time.

Here's to hoping he still wants me involved in play time :) And now some pictures of the little man.

  1. Maybe he's just being a boy. He likes Jonathan way more than he likes me too. Until he's like 14 he'll think girls have cooties. William thinks it. He cried the other day when he had to be a girl character on MarioKart. Also Wyatt, in my primary class, refuses to sit near girls. Ever. Boys be crazy.
