Comal County Fair

In an effort to be good parents, Wesley participated in 2 local activities today.

The first was I took him to see the parade in New Braunfels. The way it really went down: we drive for 30 min looking for parking. We then walked 2 blocks to end up 6 rows behind the parade. Wesley pushed his stroller for 20 min and then we were ready to leave. Woohoo! Exciting, huh?

The second activity was attending the Comal County Fair in NB. We paid $5 for parking, $10 to get us all in and walked the grounds for 45 min. It was crowded and the animals were dirty and kinda scary (they only had the 4H livestock available or viewing and you had to walk behind each of their open pins. They were tied to a fence but still, they could back up into you or poop on you). But it was Wesley's dream outing because he got to walk around the entire time, interact with strangers, and see all of lights and cool carnival rides. So was it worth the sweaty, sleepy mess we all came home in? Oh yeah!

  1. Hahahaha!! I love this! We are thinking of attempting the fair today, too, likely with the same or worse results. I can't get over how grown up Wesley is—I love him! We miss you guys!

    And have that baby already!
