About an hour ago, Wesley woke up and was very upset he was awake but he wouldn't go back to sleep right away. Travis was finishing up a project in the living room so I brought Wesley to our room and laid on the bed with him. He sat on my chest and played with two pacifiers as I sang hymns and primary songs over and over again. Sometimes he would giggle at me, other times he would smile and lay his head down on me. Then we got up and made a bottle. When we came back to my bed to eat said bottle he started to rub his eyes. I knew he'd sleep soon. After the bottle was gone, I laid him on my chest and held him for a few minutes. He dug his cheek into me and let out a big sigh.
I put him down in his crib and he snuggled up to his favorite stuffed animals.
When I go in to check on him before bed, I usually find him with his arms wrapped around his elephant or his hand holding onto his cow. I like to imagine he would do the same to us if we slept with him.
Mmmm. My sweet, little snuggly baby.
